Barbara Bernhardt
Barbara Bernhardt, a native of Poland, has been running the Polish Language and Culture Program in Washington, D.C., since 2000.
For many years, she was a freelance writer, literary critic, and translator of poetry, prose, and drama from English and German into Polish, and an Adjunct Professor at the American University in Washington, D.C.
Barbara has been an active member of the Polish expatriate community (Polonia).
She is now a VP of the Kosciuszko Foundation and a Director of the KF Center in Washington D.C. She also serves as an Executive Director of the KFDC Polish Film Festival in Washington DC.
